Amman, June 23 (Petra) – Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi and Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad Nasser Bourita held talks on Tuesday on strengthening.

The discussions came as Bourita concluded an official visit to Jordan, during which he participated in the Arab League's consultative and regular ministerial meetings hosted by the Kingdom on Monday.

The two ministers reviewed regional developments and ongoing efforts to enhance security and stability across the region. They reaffirmed the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Morocco and underscored their commitment to expanding cooperation across various fields.

Safadi and Bourita discussed preparations for the sixth session of the Jordanian-Moroccan Joint Higher Committee, scheduled for the final quarter of this year.

They called for ensuring that the committee produces practical outcomes that further advance bilateral cooperation and serve the interests of both countries.

The top diplomats expressed support for diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions, including the US-Iran negotiations, calling for a comprehensive solution that addresses the causes of instability and promotes lasting peace and security.

They called for maintaining stability in Gaza and implementing initiatives that support de-escalation and humanitarian relief.

They called for an end to illegal Israeli measures that undermine the two-state solution and reaffirmed the need to preserve the historical and legal status quo of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
